He leans me in with casual mention of
property ownership
checks to see if any buttons have opened through
the sheer force of wealth.
Truth: power turns me coy,
turtle neck logic I make him wait
because men like this only climb
the tallest towers.
Dragon teeth hook braids, raised
wit flashes- he sees surely
less than he has shown
bicep endurance tap promises to crack the fairy
right from her tail
Remind me why we bother when you know
I am already there
finger tied into the softness of
your belly I breathe
feathers flutterbetween.

i was surprised to see doug gamrath had passed away. surprised and sad. i was wondering how at 50 he was taken from us. sadly, the door county advocate has only 3 months history available. it is surprising how much, and (in the end) how little information there is about each of us online.

Hi Grady,
I am sorry that I am just seeing this post. Doug had been ill, some problem with blood clots? Apparently one was thrown and it resulted in a heart attack. I am sorry I do not have the whole story. He was cremated and his ashes spread in a local lake that he loved. I believe there is a plaque there in his honor.
